Affinity designer 2019 review free

 

Sure in any software there can be occasional bugs. But I haven’t come across any yet, or anything particularly frustrating about the workflow, tool, or system as a whole. Affinity Designer offered the same as far as I could tell tools and features as Illustrator at the same price for a lifetime as a couple of months as the cost of the Adobe solution.

I did wonder for a while, given the nature of my work at the time was becoming less ‘accurate’ and ‘precise’ whether I could get a long using Keynote as a hack. But no I decided to invest with Affinity and make the change. It was easy, efficient, and the right decision. The quality is absolutely on par with Illustrator and works without a hitch on my Macbook Pro M1. No stutters or jitters. I love Affinity Designer so much! I have not had any instance of something that could be done in Illustrator that can’t be done with Affinity.

The only thing about the product that I don’t like is that the art board is not transparent. This becomes an issue because I am not able to view anything outside of the work area and unless I find it in the layers tab, I won’t be able to locate anything I put on it.

The cost. I could not afford to purchase Illustrator and a monthly subscription wasn’t feasible for me. One month of adobe for the same price as owning this amazing software. Time used: Less than 12 months. We used Adobe for a long time but decided to switch to Affinity Designer when they offered the free trial and we are very happy we did!

It saved us hundreds of dollars in just the few months that we were using it. If I could rate it any higher, I would! The entire Serif company is amazing at what they do and they are rolling out major updates very often.
